Hi, I'm Steve Parker.

I grew up in south east London and joined the Metropolitan Police at twenty-one, spending the next twenty years across specialist squads — drugs, serious crime, fraud, rape investigation — before injury ended my service. With time on my hands, I wrote a screenplay that eventually turned into a novel—Their Last Words. That became the first book in the Detectives Paterson & Clocks series, published by Joffe Books. Nine more books followed, along with my standalone thriller, Jack Knife.

Paterson & Clocks

Ray Paterson has the money, the manners and the Rolex. Johnny Clocks has the mouth, the fists and not a shred of fear for anyone, rank included — together they hand out the justice the courts can't manage, breaking every rule in the book and a fair few bones along the way. Loyalty neither of them will say out loud, humour that gets darker the closer death gets, and a body count that keeps climbing because neither man knows how to walk away from a fight, a mate, or a case the law's already given up on. Winter Girls

DCI Alex Winter promised herself she'd find her. She'd prayed it wouldn't be like this.

Three years ago, Mia Bentley vanished — one of four girls who disappeared without a trace, a case that ate through Alex's career and never let her go. Now Mia's come home, and she's dead. As Alex fights her way back onto the investigation, old wounds tear open faster than new evidence comes in: a task force that failed these girls once already, a killer who's been patient enough to wait three years, and three more names still unaccounted for. Every hour that passes is an hour closer to finding out whether the others are still alive — or whether Alex is already too late. For fans of relentless procedurals and detectives who can't let the dead stay buried, Winter Girls proves some cases never really close.
